I happened to pick up a small leaflet-sized brochure that had the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s 2007-2008 schedule on it and thought it would be nice to share:

Both the Lansburgh Theatre and Sidney Harman Hall are accessible by Metrorail. If you are seeing a show at the Lansburgh Theatre, you can catch the Metro to Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter station on the Yellow & Green Lines or get off on Gallery Place/Chinatown for the Yellow, Green, & Red Lines. For those that are going to Sidney Harman Hall, exit at Gallery Place/Chinatown or Judiciary Square for the Red Line.

Direct from its 50th anniversary London production and UK national tour, Lerner & Loewe’s legendary musical My Fair Lady comes to Washington to thrill new audiences and old friends!

Winner of 5 Olivier Awards in 2002 including Outstanding Musical Performance, My Fair Lady is set to raise the curtain on December 27 for fans of this great musical. You can check out one of two daily shows taking place at the Kennedy Center…either at 1:30pm or 7:30pm and they run every day except for Mondays. Ticket are already on sale and cost $36-95, but on New Year’s Eve, be prepared to shell out $60-150.

What’s this wonderful musical about? Click here to read a Wikipedia synopsis of the show, but the plot is a guy trying to get a girl “trained” so that he can pass her off as a proper lady as part of a bet. Standard romance-ish type plot line with complications throughout the performance.

Spamalot

Broadway’s #1 hit show has a second coming in Washington, DC as Spamalot returns to the National Theatre for a limited engagement from December 11 – January 6, 2008. Based off of Monty Python and the Hunt for the Holy Grail, audiences will enjoy the live action storyline and musical numbers that have made this show a success all across the world. While there is a strike in New York City, the National Theatre has no announcement surrounding the postponement of this performance. Tickets are still available and can be purchased through Telecharge or at the theatre box office from 10-6pm except for Mondays. Premium seating runs $151.50 with the other seats going from $46.50 – $91.50.

A holiday surcharge of $5 per ticket applies to performances from 12/26 through 12/31. Premium Seating on those dates is $176.50.
